Other Lighthouse Information:
The Windmill Point lighthouse is the northernmost lighthouse on Lake Champlain. It's not too far from the Canadian border. The Clark family also owns the Isle La Motte lighthouse in Vermont. There's a tall steel skeletal tower on the grounds also. Some years ago the tower was painted red-orange but the color faded to a pink salmon. It must have been the same paint that was used on the entire lighthouse at Isle La Motte. There is a chain gate across the yard's entrance and one shouldn't go onto the private property without permission. The gounds keepers keep the yard looking nice.
The Lighthouse Hunters Experience:
The few times we were here we had beautiful weather and were given permission to quickly take our pictures.
