The Winter Quarter Lightship has a length of 132' 4", a beam of 30' 0", a draft of 14' 7", and displaces 775 tons. The alternate name is Lightship Liberty. At one point it was even called the Lightship Barge and Grill and they served sandwiches, burgers, pasta, and wraps. The current name painted on the lightship is Liberty Landing Marina.
The Lighthouse Hunters Experience:
We've only been here once so far and it was just for a short time. We hope to go back to this area again to reshoot the lightship and to also visit the nearby Liberty Science Center.
