Other Lighthouse Information:
In order to have the sun on your back and on the lighthouse one needs to have morning sun when walking on the breakwater. The Two Harbors East Brekawater lighthouse is at the end of a breakwater near the Two Harbors Lighthouse, at the end of Third Street in Two Harbors, Minnesota. The 1906 breakwater lighthouse is still in service flashing red every six seconds.
The Lighthouse Hunters Experience:
In the summer of 2009 after 4:00 pm the sun was not where we wanted it to be when we were taking our pictures. That is why in the summer of 2012, after our morning self guided tour of the Two Harbors lighthouse, we walked on the breakwater. It was pretty windy and the lake had some white caps. While we walked back to the car we noticed the Presque Isle freighter in the Ore Dock across the water.
