We went to Michigan in 2001, days after 9-11, then in 2005. Then twice in 2009, once in 2010, 2011 and 2012 for several Keweenaw Star boat cruises with members of GLLKA, many private boat charters and a charter plane. In 2018 we were on our friend's boat seeing a few lights in Michigan and Ontario. Good times!
These Welcome to Michigan State signs are in several locations. The left sign is on Route 23 North, on Route 2 East and on the middle median on the overpass on I-94 East. I took this shot from near the Indiana sign on July 22, 2009. The right sign was a the Welcome Center on Route 2. I took this shot on July 19, 2012.
