We flew out to Alaska in the spring of 2005. What an exciting adventure! It took us several months to plan everything just right. We ended up having two weeks in Alaska and one week in Washington for a total of three weeks. We were on 10 jets, 5 float or wheeled planes, 2 ferries, 2 boats, 2 skiffs, and a kayak.
The Welcome to Alaska State sign was taken while we were in Haines, AK. I took this shot on May 26, 2005.
This Welcome to Sitka, AK sign was in a beautiful location and was taken on June 2, 2005.
We loved Alaska and wished we could have really relaxed there. Almost everyday we were on a jet and a chartered boat or plane. It would have been better if we had brighter skies at times and less rain. Seeing the snow covered mountains in May and June was totally amazing. We wish we could move there. That would be awesome!
The Welcome to Haines, Alaska sign was taken just before we left Haines, AK. I took this shot on May 27, 2005.
This Welcome to Ketchikan, AK sign was taken on the rainy May 23, 2005.
